Hi there Crafty friends. I hope through these unforeseen circumstances everyone is holding together and making the best out of the situation. This year will go down in the history books for sure and has made a mess of our lives as we know it. The loss of jobs, income, and just the overall feeling of being secure when out and about, has really put a damper on our very existence. Going to the grocery store, hugging a friend, or even getting together with family and friends is done with great caution now. What we once considered normal, no longer is. Adjusting to these new ways of life is definitely a challenge for most people.

Quarantine in the dictionary is defined as: “ a state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious disease are placed.” (Google Docs Dictionary)

For all of us the definition can be quite different. In some states people were forced to stay in their homes, while in other states it was a bit more lenient. What was your experience with quarantine? How did it affect your life? We have some friends that were vastly affected by Covid 19, while others were not affected at all. In fact some people we know, rejoiced in the fact that they made more money from unemployment than they did in their regular working jobs. So, as you can see there are many different outlooks on what Covid-19 and being in quarantine meant to different people.

I myself, spent my time crafting, one of my favorite passions. I love to make handmade cards and boxes. It is very therapeutic for me and I feel that my artsy skills can peek at their best. Any type of crafting, whether it be painting, card making, working with clay, drawing, etc, can be very therapeutic. (and expensive!)

I work with various multimedia, a variety of alcohol markers, inks, stamps, dies, and a variation of electronic cutting machines. I also make my own t-shirts and accessories through embroidery, sewing, or iron on vinyl. I would like to know did you become more creative during this time.? Did you discover a passion that you had once but lost? Please let me know your thoughts and I would love for you to share any pictures of anything that you have done. My YouTube channel is up and running and I would love for you guys to view it if you get a chance. I will also be opening my Journei Beyond store here on my blog ,so if there’s anything you have questions about, feel free to ask me.
